When Apple released its new iPad, critics called the Amazon Kindle obsolete. But, it appears that Amazon isn’t going to let go of the cliff that easily. Its new and improved Kindle shows a cool new color and an even higher contrast screen. It even sports a lower price.
Amazon highlights:
- The new screen is supposed to have a nice 50% higher contrast for sharp text and images.
- Amazon said that the new DX is an ideal device for books, PDF’s, magazines, and even newspapers.
- Unlike the iPad, the screen doesn’t make you squint at the bright glare. So go ahead and take it to the pool. (Girls dig that stuff!)
- An extraordinary 1 week battery life with Wi-Fi on or double that with it off. Impressive compared to the iPad’s mere hours.
